Never Get Sick on Your Mission!

Seriously, don't do it. It is not worth it!

This week was so good though :) haha So I realized that I haven't told you anything about our investigators!

First there is Lizz and Nery: They are married and awesome! They elders used to teach Nery and sisters kind of taught Lizz but that wasn't right, they need to do these things together ya know? Brother Vera felt very strongly that we should teach them together. They are so great! You know the promise that The First shall be the last and The Last shall be the first? Well I have never really understood until Nery. He is from Guatemala, aka a descendant of the Laminites aka, the new first. He willingly accepts the gospel and it is incredible. We started (yesterday) teaching his mom and the same is true. It is truly amazing! They are set to baptized on APRIL 12th!!!!! They are so excited for the day they can be married in the temple! We will hopefully be going to the Trail Center and to look at the temple with them this week or next!

This is us and Lizz waiting to surprise Nery on his birthday! YAY!

Then there is Karen: She was a referral from a member serving a mission in Ireland (from utah). They met fishing in Oregon together and Karen has had so many experiences with missionaries. She happened upon the Laie temple and the visitor center and so many other things. When we first met her she was waiting on the porch for us and said, " I've been waiting for you!" THIS NEVER HAPPENS! She is such a prepared person. We came back this week and she read the intro to the BOM and the restoration pamphlet. She feels in her heart that it is true!!!! We know good things are to come with her! I know that I knew her in the Pre-earth life!!!!!

Being sick, I stayed in on Saturday! It was so hard but I was just so dizzy all the time! Sister Muasau, Call and Merrill took such good care of me!!!! I am not 100% yet but soon enough!

I love you all so much :) "Have miracles ceased? NAY"

Have a great week of missionary experiences!

LOVE ALWAYS, SISTER DUMONT

Slacker

I'm sorry I'm so bad at e-mailing lately! This hour just goes so fast and we have to report on all the sisters to president so I just get stressed! ha ha (*sigh:)

Birthday lunch!
So last monday was my 8 month mark!!! Are you kidding? Time flies so hard! The weather has been beautiful this past week so we played tennis and volleyball with the YSA sisters. IT WAS SO FUN :) Sister Muasau is turning me into a Volleyball player quick! I mean i liked it before but I can actually play now!

Tuesday was exchanges in Grand Island. We always see lots of miracles and i am able to learn from the sisters so much! Sister Beers is the definition of Charity! She and I have so much in common so it was fun getting to know and teaching with her. Sister Crist is a POWERFUL teacher! Everything she says is thought out and that makes it so much more special.

Wednesday we had Zone Training! We were privileged to give a training on the importance of simple teaching and commitments and how they invite the spirit! We all learned so much from giving that training. During a role play with sister Muasau I learned something very special:

So I like to think that I am a very strong person. I don't like to show my weaknesses and i don't like crying in front of people. Well Sister Muasau were both crying because the spirit was so strong in this role play. Sis M is very similar and likes to be a strong person. Well the spirit taught me that none of us are strong enough on our own. I am not strong enough to make it through ANYTHING with out Christ. If we were strong enough then we wouldn't need him but we're not so we can't! We are strong enough with him :)

We also trained on Thursday at the North Platte ZT and finished the day with exchanges! The birthday fairy visited Sister Papavero on Friday morning!!!

Sister Papavero is BOSS! I love this sister! I got to be with her on her Birthday :) We meant to say 20 but obviously it's backwards!!!!!

Well I love you all and I hope you have a great week! This e-mail was better right? ha ha I'll try a little harder every time and we'll see where that gets us!

THE CHURCH IS SO TRUE!!!

Sister Dumont

West is Best!

I don't have a lot of time (what is new).

This week was incredible. We weren't in our Area a whole lot due to exchanges and MLC (mission leadership council). We have seen so many miracles this week though. Last week we fasted with our WML and his wife to know how to help the area. We are exerting all of the faith we have (which is more than I thought i had :) and we are truly seeing miracles. A mission goal is to have one baptism per month as a companionship so we are really trying to be obedient. We think we may have found the couple that will be.

Lizz and Nary! They are incredible. The elders were teaching them but Brother Vera, WML, thought it would be better if we, the sisters, taught them. Our first lesson with Lizz she said they would be baptized! All we have to do is teach the lessons!

I love being to serve these sisters with my whole heart! Everyone of them is incredible!!!!

I got to have a sleep over with Sister Page :) She's a bum! haha

There are so many great examples to me here in this area and I am grateful to learn from all those around me.

Miracles have not ceased!!!!!

I promise I will be better next week and give some more details! (that will be a miracle)

I love you all!!!!!

Love,

Sister Dumont

Lady Lumberjacks (and they're okay!)

Howdy!

Time sure flies when you're having fun serving the Lord!
Sister Dumont and Sister Call

First I need to give a major shout out to my Baby Bro! CONGRATS ON YOUR MISSION CALL TO VIRGINIA! That is so exciting and you are about to have the best two years of your life! Too bad you won't see me for almost 3 years!

Kearney is incredible. There is so much work to be done. Our big focus has been sacrifice and faith. The mission goal is for every companionship to have one baptism per month. That means it is totally possible because it is what the Lord wants. WE KNOW that there are people prepared here and we are going to work as hard as we can to reach that goal!

We had zone conference this past week. That was amazing! We learned more about commitments and how to become a preach my gospel missionary. then we had the long anticipated NOM Olympics! I competed in the stick pull and I won!!! It was so much fun! Sister Case won for her zone in the push-ups. She's a monster!

Stick pull Winner

We are the Champions...
We are finding a lot of potential investigators and we know that the Lord will provide a way for us to accomplish the things we need to. If we have faith, we will see miracles!
We're lumberjacks and we're okay...

I'm sorry this is so short! Know that I love you all so much :)

Have the best week ever....and faith!

Love Always,

Sister Dumont
