Endings Are Not Our Destiny!

17 months ago it seemed like I would be here forever. My Grandpa had just passed away and all I wanted was to be with my family. I found myself thinking about how much longer I had to go and about the missionaries I knew around me already going home. "This," I thought, "is never going to end!"

I can certainly say that at that point, I just didn't get it. Luckily, I pushed through that first transfer. It wasn't easy but that's not what it's about. How grateful I am for the many people who have so greatly impacted my life. The past 18 months have certainly been the best for my life to this point. I am not the same person I once was. The reason being The Atonement. There has been such a mighty change wrought in my heart that I have "no more disposition to do evil but to do good continually." (Mosiah 5:2)

I will be weird when I get home but we'll just keep it that way :)

I don't have the words to express what I feel so I will just use some of President Uchtdorf's.

"In light of what we know about our eternal destiny, is it any wonder that whenever we face the bitter endings of life, they seem unacceptable to us? There seems to be something inside of us that resists endings.

Why is this? Because we are made of the stuff of eternity. We are eternal beings, children of the Almighty God, whose name is Endless13 and who promises eternal blessings without number. Endings are not our destiny.

The more we learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ, the more we realize that endings here in mortality are not endings at all. They are merely interruptions—temporary pauses that one day will seem small compared to the eternal joy awaiting the faithful.

How grateful I am to my Heavenly Father that in His plan there are no true endings, only everlasting beginnings."

I would dare say that this ending, that of being a full-time missionary is 'unacceptable.' But I understand the Atonement and I am prepared to push forward.

As I always say, "Onward, ever Awkward!"

N.O.M.

Did I ever tell you what NOM really stands for? Not Ordinary Missionaries!

I love that! It came from sister Weston about a year ago in one of her trainings. She's so cute! Y'all may need to fight her for me. She says I'm not leaving and I said, "okay." I am so grateful for President and Sister Weston and their examples for me. We were told twice in a month from 2 different general authorities that we're not assigned to missions but to the mission president and his wife. Boy, is that true!

This week was great. We received news that now both us and the Elders in Plattsmouth will work in Fairview and Plattsmouth. We're working to coordinate all that.

We had interviews this week. I love President Weston! He just reassured me that no effort is wasted and he invited me to look back and see how I have changed and grown. He also reminded me that this will never happen again in ETERNITY.........gaul President, thanks!

All I'm trying to say is being a missionary is the best! But guess what, we're all called to be missionaries! Missionary work will never end until our Great Leader says we're done. I hope we can all find ways this year to give the gift of "Feeding his sheep" to the Savior.

I'm sorry I'm so lame and don't have a lot to say. Miracles have not ceased!

I love you all :)

Happy New Years Y'all!

Parent Note:  Only two more of these! Yay! The over/under on her last post before coming home is 7 sentences, place your bets.

Well....ya know what they say...when you welcome the new year, the old one's gone.

That's not actually what they say.....

So we began the week with teaching Ashlee (her twin sister's name is Nicole...ironic). She made us some BOMB baked ziti. It was oh so good.

Wednesday we partied hard. and by that we mean we were in bed by 10:30 and slept great! The Gray family had a party so we ate some good food there and got to know some folk.

New years day we went to the trail center with Ashley (recent convert) to see the gingerbread displays before they closed on Sunday. She loved it. Guess who was there...Sister Case :) so naturally we sang for her since we didn't on our tour a few weeks ago. Sister Case invited us all to, this year, focus on the successes and not the failures :) I love her.

We had MLC on Friday. As a mission we are all starting 12 week over. The good news is I'll get to do at least 2 weeks :)

I was emailing President Weston today about some sisters and I said something really profound for once :) haha I said, "everyone is adequate because we're children of God." Think about that next time you feel inadequate.

I love you all so much! Miracles have not ceased!

I love Christmas on the Mishmas!

We had a great week! We started off in Lincoln with an exchange. On Preparation day we took some nice Christmas photos!

Ugly sweaters! Naturally, I grabbed the cat :)

We got to go caroling and gave out "He is the Gift" cards...it was too much fun!

We rushed home from Lincoln for an appointment we had made with a member. He is currently dating someone who has been coming to church for quite a few months now and guess what? She accepted to take the lessons! CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! We have our first lesson with her tonight :) Prayers!

Zone trainings were this week so we trained in 2 out of the 3 for sisters in our stewardship. Our zone was on Christmas eve day and our stake president paid for all of us to have lunch at Golden Corral! Yummy! Then we had supper 2 hours later with the Bucksbees....yikes, that's a lot of food. On top of that, my sweet companion wasn't feeling very well and didn't really have an appetite.

Christmas was excellent! We had brunch and supper with families in Fairview and visited people in Plattsmouth ward who didn't have families in town this year! I am very grateful for the members who take such great care of us!

This was our last Sunday of 6 hours of church...It's kind of a relief because I can't sit still and focus that long! :) Fairview starts at 9:00 and Pmouth at 10:00 so we'll see what happens there.

I love you all! Never forget that you are loved by me and more importantly, your Heavenly Father!

Does Anyone Know How to Slow Time?

This transfer is so busy and it is a bit freaky!

This past week was a great one! We are just trucking along, getting to know the members in Fairview ward. There is a one, Brother Brown, whom Sister Call taught. He is possibly the cutest thing i've ever seen. He's in his....I won't disclose this information but he's older. We do FHE with him and his Daughter (not a member) and some other members in the ward and it is awesome!

We were blessed to go to the trail center with Ashley on Wednesday as the youth were doing baptisms for the dead. You won't believe who gave our tour....none other than my Bestie, Sister Case :)

We dressed up.....

It was super duper tender mercy and Obvi we had a great time!

Also the next day was Christmas zone conference. I was reminded of how much Heavenly Father is aware of me. Last Week, I set a transfer goal of NO FEAR, and if you can believe it, that's what a portion of our Zone Conference was about. Sister Mc and I just looked at each other in amazement! And guess what? so we had a testimony meeting at the end and this elder got up and said, "fear is stupid!" I love it! Although i don't like the S word...i'll have to come up with a substitute! But it's true. If we really understand the enabling power of the Atonement, we wouldn't have fear. I remember when Elder Neilson was here....a month ago... and he told us that the Apostles have no fear. ZERO, Zip zilch! Wanna know why? Because of faith! So there's the answer. If we can increase our faith, we will decrease our fear!

We had someone set for baptism for 2 days....and then she dropped us....AWE MAN! We're working to find someone...PRAY!

I love you all and I hope you have a very merry Christmas and remember the reason for the season!

Wow! Flattsmouth

So transfers happened. Can I just say, don't ever have a companion go home. I still had companions but they were temporary and super not the same as having my own. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE MY OWN :) haha Introducing......

Sister McFadgen! She hails from the land of Ayr Canada (near Toronto). She was trained by my dearly beloved, Sister Smith so you know she's good :) We are so excited to work in our 2 areas. You heard right folks, we are assigned to Fairview and still live and work in Plattsmouth as well so double duty. I'm afraid this transfer is going to go by so fast with all of the festivites but we are going to enjoy every second of it! Sister McFee is such a hard worker and we just laugh ALL THE TIME! Mostly about funny things Sister Smith did when we were companions. There is so much to be done!

I was reading in the Epistle of Moroni to Pahoran and he exhorts Pahoran to be "repent of that which ye have done, and begin to be up and doing" Alma 60:24. So that is my challenge to you. Repent and move on. Don't stand idly looking on but do ALL in your power to, day by day, become more like the Savior. I love you all and will let you in on more about the areas when we know ourselves....hahaha we're a little in limbo!

Have a great week!

Great Week!

This week has been so good!

Ashley got baptized on Saturday. The service was so beautiful and a lot of her family came who are either less-active or non-members. Ashley looked so happy :) We got to teach young women's yesterday and it was all about inviting others unto Christ. It was fun to hear ways how the YW are sharing the gospel, including Ashley.

My Sister Jones leaves me tomorrow and for Utah on Wednesday! My fate for the 9th inning will be know on Thursday. I pray I stay in Plattsmouth but where ever Heavenly Father needs me, I'll go!

I totally lost track of time so I am so sorry! We just finished the Book of Mormon as a mission today in preparation for the Christmas zone conference. We focused on every time the godhead, atonement or heart is mentioned. TALK ABOUT THE WHOLE BOOK OF MORMON! It's everywhere and it's all connected!  The purpose is to change our hearts! We are to be changed from our natural state into what our Heavenly Father wants us to be! I love you all so much! Have a great week! :)

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I love it so much! I am extremely grateful to have another Christmas in the mission field (although my nephews think it's a rip off. haha)

Well, hello Santa!
Lots of good things going on.

We've been doing service at the library the last few weeks helping them to prepare for a Christmas party. This past week we were blessed to cut holes in the back of milk jugs........GROSS! They were all donated for a craft they'll be doing but some people just didn't rinse them out very well. Sister Jones and I only gagged a few times...

Ashely passed her interview so she will for sure be getting baptized on Saturday at 11:00. OH HAPPY DAY! Plattsmouth ward has not seen a convert baptism in at least a year and a half so everyone is pretty excited.

Raquel Meneses says, "Hello!"

Thanksgiving was excellent. We had supper at the Sticht's house. It was wild but good. In the morning we had district meeting and then we ate a lot of food...you know how that goes. We visited Jiana Goto and Sister Meisinger and naturally she gave us pie...Sister Jones almost cried!

Hey, have y'all checked out christmas.mormon.org yet? Do it. Also, #sharethegift and if you get the Ensign give out those 9 pass-along cards!

On Friday we were on exchanges and it was down to the last hour, like it always is, and Sister Hirro and I tried a few potential investigators. We were led by the Spirit from house to house and nothing was happening. Finally we tried a member family who had recently moved in but they were not there, but their neighbors were outside in their garage (it was like 50 degrees). We went over to give them a pass-along card (He is the Gift) and it turns out they've met with missionaries before. We asked if they needed some help decorating (that's what they were doing) and they said yes. Nobody ever accepts help. They told us to come back anytime.

The same thing happened with Sister Jones and I the next day. We were led to an investigators house but stopped on Main Street cause it was Christmas on main! DUh! How come nobody told us?! We passed out 30 cards that night and got some nice photos.

Christmas on Main

I love you all. Keep climbing those mountains.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Howdy!
This week was oh so good. So Ashley was sick this week and we couldn't meet so she will be getting baptized on December 6th. What a perfect day to be baptized. And what a great way for Sister Jones to end her mission :)

Saturday we were blessed to hear from another member of the 70, Elder Martino. We had a leadership training with the ZLs STLs and DLs. The "He Is The Gift" initiative was  announced by President. It starts the day after Thanksgiving and goes until January 1st. christmas.mormon.org
We got to see a video presentation about it. Then Sister Case and I lived our dream. Ever since we were companions last year we wanted to sing "You're Here" by Francesca Batistelli but we didn't know how it would ever be possible. What if we weren't in the same zone (which we aren't) or what if we are even near each other. Well, Heavenly Father is aware of us. She is a Sister Training Leader this transfer (I don't think I mentioned that but my little child is a STL) and we were asked to sing at this meeting. The timing and situation could not have been more perfect. The spirit was so strong and it was the perfect way to kick off the Holiday Season. Elder Martino has inspired me to work smarter than I have ever before. "Now should be the most productive time of my mission."
Look Daddy!
I am so grateful first and foremost to my Heavenly Father for all he has given me. I am grateful to my Savior who gave everything to follow our Father. I am infinitely grateful for the opportunity I have to be a missionary at this time in NOM. This is Christ's true church on the earth and I know that will all my heart.
Hugs not Drugs! Sister Wrubell and Sister Smith, we all came out together.

My favorite saying from the Book of Mormon as of late is, "Repent and become..." 3 Nephi 11:37

It is not enough to just ask for forgiveness but we must 'do' more in order to 'become' more. We are all destined for greatness! I know that is true because we are glorious children of God. I love you all to eternity.

SNOWAY!!!

This week was super busy and we taught more lessons than I ever have being a STL so miracles still abound. Can I just say that I am super excited for the moment when I get to sit down and do some Family History?

Ashely is progressing really well. She is getting a little nervous especially as her baptismal date inches closer. She has such a testimony but she doesn't feel like she feels the spirit. We will be working with her a lot these next few weeks :) The Young women are putting their arms around her so that helps a bunch.

The highlight of the week was Mission Tour. Elder and Sister Brent H. Nielson came and spoke to us. There was so much good that came from that! I learned that I need to learn how to better used the enabling power of the Atonement daily. Friday was a day full of meetings. We had a leadership one with Elder Nielson before actual mission tour. Then after that we had a meeting with all the leaders in the mission. The church is true! It is meant to bless our lives, not restrict them. Obedience is so crucial. If we don't obey, the ground will always come! (meaning if you jump off a building, according to laws of gravity you'll hit the ground. The same is true with disobedience.)

I'm sorry I don't have much to say except I love you all!

November!

I can't believe this...it's November!
You better believe that Sister Jones and I have been rocking out to our 1 Christmas cd.....hmmmm we better get some more. haha

This week was oh so good. We taught more lessons than we have the last 6 weeks. There is a lot of progress happening in P*money. We set Laura for baptism. We found her on splits 2 weeks ago when i was with sister Lewellen. She is her neighbor and she thought to go give her some pumpkin bread so we did. We also loaned her a Book of Mormon and she accepted for us to come back. She already has a testimony and is excited to progress towards baptism.

Ashley is doing well. She is just the sweetest little thing. She is receiving opposition from friends at school so we are really trying to keep daily contact with her and help her to feel of God's love for her.

We had an awesome MLC this week and I got to have a sleep over with Sister Smith! It was so much great :)

So we do service each Thursday at a thrift store called Under His Wings and it is all volunteer run by people from different churches around Plattsmouth. It is literally my favorite part of the week! The ladies there are amazing :) Members from our ward also volunteer there which is really neat.

This week is our mission tour. Elder Brent H. Nielson will be coming to enlighten us. I am so excited!

I love you all so much :) I would encourage you all to look up the talk "The Atonement and our journey through mortality" by Elder Bednar. CHANGED. MY. LIFE.

Have a great week!

So much to say!!!

So little time!

Well I'll start with Monday. We had 2 of the sisters who were going home stay with us on Monday. Sister Jones went on splits with the RS pres and I took the 2 sisters (May and Youngberg) to the O'Briens (part member family). The Mom is a member but nobody else is so we have been teaching her 16 yo daughter, Ashley. Well, those sister missionaries sure are powerful teachers. We taught the Restoration and invited her to be baptized and she accepted. Yay!

Tuesday was D day. We took The sisters to the mission office for their interviews and it just so happened that Sister Call was coming in around that time as well. That was a huge tender mercy to be able to talk to her for a little bit! She is now Lani :) haha anyway, We got to go to the Departing Testimonies so that was a miracle. My trainer, Sister Gomez, Sister Schrader, Sister Call, Sister Youngberg, Sister May...all left :( Good luck to then in all they do! I look up to those sisters so stinking much. We were in a trio for a few days because Sister Weber's comp left so that was exciting.

Lani, write me!
Halloween was good! We ended up having 2 dinners so that was a little wild. We played a game at the O'Brien's called pigs in a trough and you have to eat jello through a straw....it was so fun!

We have a new family we are teaching and I'm convinced they're really members but they are just pulling our legs. Like literally. Names: Josh and Courtney Wiezorek with Parker (3 year old daughter). Court played soccer at Iowa Western with a bunch of members of the church. Also I think her coach was a member. They are so humble and ready to learn. It's so exciting :) They invited us for supper this week and said they're looking for a church...OH MY HEART!

I'm in Plattsmouth with Sister Jones for another transfer. I actually get to kill her off....still brainstorming the best way :) haha

I love you all! Keep reading the Book of Mormon

We sent off letters to Ashley on her bday. This year nothing crazy or life threatening happened :)

Spattsmouth

Sometimes I just can't speak english. Hence the title of the email today. I think I will now call Pmoney splattsmouth (pronounced splatts mouth). Sister Jones and I decided it will be our band name (like smash mouth or whatever).

This week has been an exhausting one. Straight up I don't think I've been this tired my whole mission...except that is what I think of everyday when I get up. But really this time :)

We saw many mighty miracles this week. We found 2 new investigators, which is huge! We're now up to like 6 :) I love seeing growth and progression, it's possibly my favorite thing ever.

I GOT TO GO TO THE TEMPLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 9 MONTHS. Can you believe it? Oh I've never been so happy. I also will never ever ever go that long with out entering my Father's house again. How rude of me! It was reiterated to me (by the spirit) that this gospel is one of progression; line upon line. Even the world was created line upon line! Just saying :)
I love to see the temple with my Sammie Schra Schra

So cool story. There is a sister in our stewardship who I went to SUU with. We had several classes together when she was still majoring in Pre-nursing. Long story short. We both ended up here on the same mission and didn't even know it until half way through. Well, we got to go on exchanges this past weekend and the best thing ever happened. One of the many miracles we saw was we were going to loan a Book of Mormon. The first house we knocked on a man answered and said his wife was from Utah. We asked where from and he said Cedar City. The crazy thing is that both Sister Huss and I went to SUU and are obsessed with Cedar. He said to come back when she is home and accepted a BOM. I want to be there so bad when they meet her. Like, what are the chances? I LOVE MY LIFE!

SUU Buds

Something I learned recently is that to Endure to the End simply takes having a spiritual experience everyday. That's it...it's simple. Now, hopefully that comes at least from praying and reading the Book of Mormon. I love that sacred book so much. There was someone on exchanges who was really talking badly about it. In a previous life I probably would have hit someone. haha That's not exactly Christ-Like so I didn't.

I hope y'all have a great Halloween. And remember...I LOVE YOU!

This is His Work!

Howdy Y'all!

Well we went to Vala's Pumpkin patch last week. It was a big deal. A bit rainy but super fun. There is so much to do there and so little time. *Another shout out to Stacey Vance for taking us* We all had a blasty blast!

Not a ton happened in our area this week but we got to go on exchanges Thursday-Saturday and we saw a lot of miracles in Lincoln. The biggest miracle of all is that I got to finally be companions with Sister Youngberg...for about 4 hours. Sister Youngberg was Kaela Baucom's roommate in college. She trained Sister Page and basically she is the most meek and powerful teacher I know. I have looked up to her my whole mission (probably because she trained Sister Page...hard work ;) just kidding Sissy) but i am so grateful that I had the opportunity to learn from her those few hours. She goes home in 9 days (YIKES). She taught me a few valuable lessons: 1. "Never apologize for what you bring to the table" this is a quote from Sister Zachary in the Fairview ward. She usually means food but it also applies to the bigger picture. 2. This is the Lord's work. As we do all in our power we will the works that only he can do. (I would put a photo but my comp hijacked my camera).

We are still trucking along here in "The Mouth" as Karen calls it. I am learning a lot about patience and trusting in the Lord :) We were both sickly this weekend so that's been fun....

I love you all! Keep the faith and trust in your Heavenly Father!

Top 10 Safest Cities to Live in Nebraska

If that doesn't make you feel good, I don't know what will :)

Last Monday after going to Old Market (a sweet place in downtown Omaha with lots of cute fun stores. I will be taking you, my fam, here someday). This one candy store had Pumpkin pie fudge that tasted just like pumpkin pie minus the crust. Are you serious? It was so stinking good! Then we had some ice cream at this bomb place called Ted and Wally's and lo and behold Sister Case and her comp came too :) *Another shout out to Stace Vance for setting it up* Mom and Dad, I got a scoop of Haupia, which is Hawaiian coconut pudding ice cream, in honor of your trip to Hawaii.

(I don't know if she does but I still wear my 'Sisters Forever' necklace EVERY DAY :)

We also went to a city council meeting to introduce ourselves and let them know we're here to help but they just breezed over us....awkward. That is where we found out we're in the top 10 though so that's good. We got to meet the Mayor afterward and he apologized. haha His name is Mayor Bowman...probably related :)

We had interviews with President Weston. Gaul, I just love him! He is always led by the spirit and knows just how to help me.

Fast forward to Friday! We got to go see "Meet the Mormons" with a less-active from the ward. It was SOOO WEIRD walking into the movie theatres. I felt sick to my stomach. It was so funny. On the way there Jianna goes, "Did your Mission President tell you to go to this movie" (meaning permission) and Sister Jones says, "No, we just thought it was a good idea." hahahahaha She looked at us like 'ooooohhh rebels' and we quickly told her that we did have permission. I don't miss movies! Isn't that great! Only ones that I can feel the spirit in and MTMs was definitely one of those. Take your friends! Or just go yourself :)

So I think I told you about the Mott Family last week maybe? Well if not it's a mom and 2 sets of twins, 16 yo and 10 yos. Cutest family ever! Well one of the 16 yos committed to be baptized and 5 of them came to church yesterday :)

Well I love you all so much :) Keep the faith and don't ever give up! Have a great week!

All Good in the Hood!

Howdy!

Who loved conference? Raise your hand! I hope that was all of you! If you didn't watch it....JUST DO IT :)

Well let me tell you a little about my week:

Tuesday I was on exchanges with none other than my Sister Schrader! Remember her from the beginning of my mish? Aka best friend :) We were in Plattsmouth and we just tore it up. We only had 4 lessons but that is more than I've had in one day since I've been here. Unfortunately, she goes home at the end of this transfer but it was really neat to talk with her about her fears and then to see her realize there's no need to fear because she has every tool she needs to stay on the right path. We found a new investigator, Tina, who recently lost her daughter to Pulmonary Hypertension. We are excited to teach her the Plan of Salvation tomorrow. Also we met *Sister Vance* at CHICK-FIL-A 3 of my favorite things! Sister Vance, Sister Schrader, and my number 1 with a cookies and cream shake! We had a super spiritual lesson about God's love for us individually.

Wednesday into Thursday I was on an exchange in the Fairview area with Sister Hirro, who is a Temple Square sister in our mission for 2 transfers. She is flippin' awesome! She is the most positive person I know, not to mention she is from the Philippines. Wednesday we walked probably 3 miles and finally found their investigator we were searching for. Then Thursday we got to Bike!!!! OH my goodness it was so fun:) She hadn't biked since.....a long time so it took double the time to get anywhere but that's okay. JOY IN THE JOURNEY! A plus side, we found a potential investigator for Sister Jones and I. We were riding back home and Sister Hirro stopped to save a Caterpillar (cute right?) and this man walked by. Well we decided we needed to talk to him but he was far ahead, then we remembered we were on bikes so we caught up the him (more like chased and followed him) until we could give him a BOM.

I GOT TO SEE SISTER SMITH!!!!

I have been missing her and Kearney so much this week, it's bad! But I remembered something wise old *Sister Vance* said to me: "When God takes something good away, he always gives us something better." This always reminds me of the scripture in
2 Nephi 10:20 And now, my beloved brethren, seeing that our merciful God has given us so great knowledge concerning these things, let us remember him, and lay aside our sins, and not hang down our heads, for we are not cast off; nevertheless, we have been driven out of the land of our inheritance; but we have been led to a better land, for the Lord has made the sea our path, and we are upon an isle of the sea.

I love you all so much! Always remember the tender mercies of the Lord, even when you can't see the big picture. He always has something better in store for you :)

I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE JESUS CHRIST!

Small and Simple Things

This week was pretty good overall. We had a few rough patches but that happens to the best of us I think :) the great news is that we found 5 new investigators! WHAT?! That's a miracle! The work will pick up here in Platty, I just know it.

I also know that I am supposed to be here that I may be humbled. Shocker huh? :)

We got to go to the Zoo last monday and it was incredible!!!!

#yayformaxidresses
I am so grateful that we were able to watch the Women's Conference this weekend! I really felt of God's love for me and ALL of his children. I'm sorry for not writing a lot today!

I hope everyone's Book of Mormon reading is going well :) It is for me. I continue to learn daily about the Atonement on just about every page. I hope y'all have a great week!

Plattsmouth (pronounced Plattsmith

Well, I am no longer in Kearney or with Sister Smith :( But I am in Plattsmouth with Sister Jones! Yay!

Leaving Kearney was one of the hardest things I've had to do but that is part of life. Saying "see you later"  to all of those awesome people was sad but one think is for sure: I am where Heavenly Father needs me to be. I just wrote an email to Syd Miles and I wanted to share something I shared with her. Our whole purpose in life is to learn to do Heavenly Father's will. That was Christ's whole purpose as well. D&C 19:24 "I am Jesus Christ; I came by the will of the Father, and I do his will." It is not easy for us to accept and do his will all of the time. The way that we know Heavenly Father's will for us is through prayer and scripture study. I testify that as we align our will with the Father's, we will become more like our Savior. It won't be easy but Christ knows what that is like. He knows perfectly how to help us.

I am so thankful to my Father in Heaven that his will was for me to serve a mission. This gospel is true and I know that with all of my heart. My heart has been changed as the people of
King Benjamin:

Mosiah5:2 "And they all cried with one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil."

This is all possible because of the spirit. We must surround ourselves with the spirit because that is how we change. Is there something in your life that you need to change? I promise that if you will seek God's will and surround yourself with the spirit that you will do it. You will change. I testify because it happened to me and I hope you all have felt that as you read these emails. Again, I love my Savior Jesus Christ.

That was kind of a rant! Sorry not sorry!

It's beginning to look a lot like....Fall

This week was kind of crazy because we were out of our area for 3 days. Also not a ton happened but I will share what did.

We had delicious homemade pumpkin pie in Holdrege on exchanges this week. YUM!

We had the best zone training ever on Wednesday. It was all about being unified as a zone and companionship. There is a lot of power that comes with that Unity. Not just in a zone but in a ward or in a family and it all comes from the power of the Book of Mormon.

Thursday we finally got to teach our investigator, Leslie, again. It's been 3 weeks now. She has a desire to learn but she is afraid of a lot of things and those fears are holding her back from coming to church. She is slowly but surely progressing.

While we're on the subject of investigators Lupe came to church, all 3 hours. The miracle is that she was late so we thought we were going to miss the sacrament while we waited for her. Turns out, they didn't have any bread so the young men were running all over trying to get some. This like rarely happens! Lupe got there before the bread so we all made it to the sacrament! If that's not a miracle, I don't know what is :)

While we're on the subject of Lupe, she's set for baptism on October 11th! She introduced herself in relief society and the lady conducting asked if she was a member or just visiting or investigator (not sure if she had a clue what that meant) and cute little Lupe goes, "I'm going to be Mormon."

I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who will forgive me no matter the mistakes I make. 2Nephi 28:32

"Wo be unto the Gentiles, saith the Lord God of Hosts! For notwithstanding I shall lengthen out mine arm unto them from day to day, they will deny me; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto them, saith the Lord God, if they will repent and come unto me; for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts." The same is true for all of you! No matter what, Heavenly Father loves you and will always welcome you back if you will REPENT. I love you all and hope you have a great week!

This week in Kearney!

I can't believe it's the 5th week of the transfer! Like is crazy.

Let me tell you about one of our investigators. She had a sister who is a member and a brother who is anti so you can see how this would prove a little difficult. Well basically she believes in everything we do except she always says, "but i just don't believe in Joseph Smith." She asks a bunch of anti questions that just get us angry. The good news is that she likes Sister Dinkel and will listen to her. haha so Sister Dinkel will say it how it is boldly and we testify! It's kind of reverse but that's just how we like it. We're not to sure we'll keep teaching her but we pray her heart will continue to be softened.

We did an exchange on Wednesday-Thursday. Sister Wilson and I taught a lesson outside at about 8:00 and we got eaten alive by chiggers. I literally have never itched so bad in my life! If you don't know what a chigger is, look it up. *Shout out to Kate-remember when we first learned about chiggers at EFY in Nauvoo!* Pray for me!

Well, it was September 4th so you know what that means!!!! (Maybe just Chase does....Beyonce's Birthday) Now, the only reason I bring that up is because Elder Tatafu is in my Zone, therefore we celebrate just like we did last year :)

Happy Birthday Beyonce!

I got to talk to Sister Call on the phone and I bawled like a baby. She may or may not have just 1 transfer left but I'm not letter her leave if she does.

We had our Stake Women's Conference on Saturday and it was awesome! SO many women showed up we were franticly setting up tables at the last minute. Lupe, the investigator came. Hopefully we will be going to the Trail Center with her this Sunday :)

I love this gospel. I love the Book of Mormon and I hope you all are reading it every day because it will help you to reach the potential God sees in you. Worth is right?!

I LOVE YOU ALL :)
