But...if you get 2 completos it's only 2 dollars.....

I am e-mailing y'all from KEARNEY, NE, USA! I was indeed transferred for the first time my whole mission :)

Honestly, I can't remember what happened this week. It has all been such a blur so I will do my best! haha

I will have to start with Thursday because that is as far as my memory will go back. Well we got the call at 7:06 am. I was in packing (either way we were moving out of the Peschke's home) and Sister Case was studying. I hear the phone start ringing and Sister Case RUNNING down the hall. She finally answers it and lo and behold it's President Weston. She says, "Hello, this is Sister Case.....yep, she's right here." MY HEART WAS POUNDING! Why would president want to talk to me! haha well I answered the phone with a shaky voice, "Hello President, this is Sister Dumont." He proceeded to tell me that I was going to Kearney and my new companion would be Sister Call. Then he said, "The Lord would like for you to serve as a Sister Training Leader. Will you accept?" How do you say no to that? Well, he hung up the phone and I was just shaking! Sister Case says well what's going on? I told her my new assignment and that she was staying in Columbus and Sister Vogel would be her companion.....again. That is insane! Sister Vogel trained Sister Case for 6 weeks, then she was sent to me for 3 transfers and now she's back with Sister V. Crazy things are happening out here! By the way, Kearney is the area that Sister Page has served for the past 7.5 months. CRAZY!

Well the rest of thursday was pretty much a blur as well. We had to be moved out of the Peschkes and into the appartment, clean, and say 'see you later' to everyone. It was one LONG day!

It was pretty hard saying see ya to those sweet people in Columbus but I know that I am needed in Kearney! The work is so close to BOOMING out here, we just know it!

It was also hard saying goodbye to that Sweet Sister Case! *Shout out to that Sister Missionary!* We cried all the way to transfer point....then we sat in the car and tried to make a 'see ya later' video but we just cried the whole time!!!! Yikes.

Sister Call is incredible! She is from Spokane Washington. She has been out for 10 months. She was in my district my first transfers out here. If I can be like....half the missionary she is one day I'll be doing okay. I am so grateful to learn from her how to be a Sister Trainer Leader. I love the 8 SETS of sisters we are over so much already. This calling is the perfect way to forget yourself! I love it so much and I know that Heavenly Father knew this is just what I needed!

I am so humbled to be here in Kearney and to be able to assist Heavenly Father in any way he needs me to.

The Ward Mission Leader here is INCREDIBLE! He magnifies his calling to the MAX! He and his wife worry so much about us and works so hard along side us. We know there is a lot of work to be done here and we are so excited to be a part of it.

There is a YSA branch here with sisters serving in it. The past few days we have found a few new investigators but they have all been YSA age so we will send them over to them. Our focus is families...if we can bring families into the church then the work will move forward as Heavenly Father expects.

May we all renew our desire to do missionary work. "There are lives to brighten, souls to save, and hearts to touch." --President Monson. Look for those people around you who need the Light that you have to share! I am praying for you all!!!!!

XOXO

Love Always,
Sister Dumont

P.s. the Ward mission leaders family (Vera's)  made us completos last night! DELICIOSO!

This Weather is Bi-POLAR

It is D*week!!!! Meaning transfers. Meaning I most likely won't be with Sister Case Face anymore. WOOF

But...all is well! I know that Heavenly Father's plan is perfect so where ever he wants me, I will go!

So last week be made Fleece Huskers tie blankets! They are so warm and cozy.

For our companionship BOM study we have been studying the stories of the pictures in the front and it is amazing. We love guessing who is who and what they're saying and thinking.

The Columbus sisters, who ever they may be next transfer, will be living in an apartment instead of at the Peschke's.
Sister Dumont and Sister Case Dolls

In Zone Training we talked about how we can't reach the big goals in life without doing the little things.

We did our trial for the Olympics that will happen next week in Zone Conference. I will be competing in the stick pull! Sister Case is a monster and can do 100 push-ups in 5 minutes. I can do like 3 :) haha it's funny that she is so strong...but I can pull her in a second!

Sister Cerna just spoils us! She took us to Applebys last week and she took us to Pizza Ranch today. She told us that when we live together, Sister Case and I, that she will come and be our house keeper. haha she is so stinking cute!

Valentine's Day on the mission is the BEST! We just went around visiting people and telling them how there is someone who loves them more than they can imagine. Heavenly Father! Joyce Miller invited us over for Dinner! Best Vday date ever!!

We were teaching a less-active family the 10 commandments, focusing on the 6 year old. We got to #7, adultery and she asks, "What is that?" ........well I panicked.....so I looked around and said, "Don't talk to boys!" Her parents were laughing so hard! She was so confused like, "But I talk to boys at school!" "Well stop it!" Her dad says! I can never be a parent! haha

The Vday fairy visited Sylvia and Emily. She texted us asking if it was us and we told her yes :) This was the first time we had heard from her in 2 weeks! Hopefully we can see her this week because of transfers.

GJett waxed my eyebrows and she burned the life off my upper lip!!!! It's cool :) She was waxing Sister Case's brows and she dripped some wax on her eyelash. She was freaking out saying, "I blinded a sister! Help Me!" But all I could do was laugh! I was going to have an accident I was laughing so hard!

We found a new investigator! Her name is Megan and she has a condition where she has seizures a lot. She had brain surgery about a year and a half ago and she doesn't remember anything from before the surgery so she doesn't know about God and Jesus. She is the most sweet and positive person I have ever met. We have another appointment with her on Wednesday so hopefully we can help her :)

Sister Case and I are so sick of sandwiches and mac n cheese! We need some quick lunch ideas so if y'all have any email them to me :) courtneydumont@myldsmail.net

Rue 21 opened last week so we went yesterday for p-day. I got a cute belt!

Seeing how this is probably my last week with my Case Face I just wanted to give her the biggest shout out ever! She is so stinking great! I am so grateful that Heavenly Father let me be her companion for 4.5 months. I have learned so much from her and have made a life-long friend. Gaul, I'm so lucky! This will only be but a short 12 months until we can be reunited again, never to be separated again :).....until she gets married. But even then, i'm going to live in her house. I LOVE HER!

A member from the stake this sunday spoke on 7 things that waste our time:

1. Dead Works
2. Worry
3. Reasoning
4. Guilt
5. Anger
6. Fixing People (who don't want to be fixed)
7. Dread

I've been thinking a lot about these things and how if we can eliminate at least one a week then we will find more time. So this is my challenge to you! And remember to break it down into small and simple things so that you may accomplish the big goal. I love you all so much! If you wish to write me, which you all should, send them to 11027 Martha Street Omaha, NE 68144. The Beaver Lodge address is no more!

Stay classy :)

Love Always,
Sister Dumont

Grounded!

(That's a quote from Aaron Carter)

Howdy Y'all!

Last P-day Sister Case Face and I went to this little Café called Picket Fence Café and we fell in love! Peach Muffins...are you kidding me?! Also we found out there is a Doughnut shop in town....who knew?

So our cars got grounded. It snowed a lot last Tuesday and I LOVED it...if it's going to be cold it might as well snow. Well, it did! We were visiting teaching with Sister Cerna so she said she's be our driver for the day. SO SWEET! She took us to lunch at this yummy Mexican Restaurant here in town and she wants to take us out next week! At one point we had to walk to where our car was parked so that we could drive it home and that was a sight, I'm sure. We didn't walk very far but we were STRUGGLING!!! "Do you wanna build a snowman?" The answer, Ana, is YES! (Frozen). The sweet Spicers knew we didn't have anything going on so they called us over to do 'service.' Papa Spice and I carried a HUGE mattress up the stairs from their garage. Can I just say I thought my arm was going to blow off. The wind caught it and I was going down fast!!! Luckily, I made it! They took us to get a cone from DQ! Fitting seeing as it was a blizzard outside :)

SPEAKING OF THE SPICERS....THEY'ER HAVING A GIRL!!!!!

District meeting was changed to Thursday because our cars were still grounded for half of the day. We went and played bingo with our older friends at the GLC. One of our less active members taught me how to hem my skirt! We had a team up with Sister Hyde but our appointment cancelled so she came up with the idea to take brownies and a quote to those in our branch who need it. That was so much fun and I know they felt loved.

Sister Checketts, who was in my zone at the MTC and my first mission friend when we got our calls, is now in my district!!! Happy Day.

Friday was Joan's baptism! She was sick all week but she wasn't about to stop her! Her boyfriend, brother Davis, surprised her and sang at the baptism! So stinking cute! I can't wait until they can get married in the Temple!

Have I told you/have you hear of the salad dressing Dorothy Lynch? Well i'm obsessed!

Shout out to my DPO family -- I had some Baja Blast from Taco Bell and thought of you Gracie and Hailee and Jenni, and JoshMo :)

Jess, I went to coldstone and got strawberry cheesecake! Yum!

We got to celebrate Caelyn's birthday with the Appel family! We love them!!!

I love you all so much :) Thanks for all the love and support! Happy Valentines day! Don't forget to love one another!

LOVE ALWAYS,

Sister Dumont

#endurethebuuurrrrrr

Meow!
This week was a good one. We learned how to make Sister Bishop's easy bread. It is so good and so easy to make! My future family might survive!

I'm sure I've talked about the Cernas before but the spirit is so strong in that home. Everytime we go there I leave crying! Well we are her visiting teaching companions and after visiting teaching she invited us to her house for lunch. We talked about having charity for everyone. I read Moroni 7:48 and it's my new favorite. If we have charity then we will be like Christ and we will be able to recognize Him when we see Him.

We had a surprise birthday party for Tayna this week. It was so much fun. Sister Case and I made 'better than WHATEVER cake.' YUM!

We had interviews with President Weston on Friday. I love that man! I remember the first day in the field when we had interviews with him I was so scared. Now I just love this precious time with him. He is an inspired man and I am honored to learn from him. He taught me to have charity I need to think of others. Mothers are the perfect example of charity. I know this is true because of my sweet mother, WHOSE BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK!!!! Thanks mama for being the best example ever!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MOMMY AND ZANE THIS WEEK!!!!

Sorry this is so short. I'll try to have a more exciting week this week :) haha I love you all so much!

Love Always,
Sister Dumont

We went bowling last week!

Given my past history with water towers I've decided to take a photo with the water tower in every area I serve! :)
