I Love Nebraska

Talofa!

*SHOUT OUT TO JOHNNY DINKLE! I'M SO SORRY I FORGOT TO GIVE YOU A SHOUT OUT LAST WEEK. THIS IS A SHOUT OUT BECAUSE HE READS MY BLOG! ONE DAY WE WILL BE LONGBOARDING BUDDIES!*

This week was another great one! The weather has been all over the place. We had our first tornado warning!!!! YAY I am so excited for a real tornado! There wasn't one, it was just in case.

We got to go down to Phillipsburg Kansas this week for exchanges. That was super fun. I met a guy who is hardcore catholic and he said, "Either the catholics are right or the mormons are right." haha hopefully he'll figure it out soon :)

We also did exchanges with the Hermanas! I was with sister miller in Kearney. I'm convinced we're related somewhere along the lines. I mean, check out her last name :) haha We saw so many miracles!!!! We had a scheduled appointment with Karen but she said she couldn't meet until later. Karen suggested we meet at the church for the lesson. *BINGO* Church tour it is! haha She is so stinking prepared. She said she is trying to talk herself out of know that Joseph Smith was a prophet but she can't do it! She know's it's true, it's only a matter of time! We taught Nery's mom, Mirium. And when I say we i mean Hma Miller did. I just sat there and nodded. I understood everything they were saying but can't speak to save the life of me. I did bear my testimony in spanish to them.

Always remember that POSITIVITY helps us to be GRATEFUL and when we're grateful we show our TRUST in Heavenly Father!

I love you all so much!

Easter Week!

Howdy Y'all!
How was your Easter week? Like I've said before, I love holidays on the mission! We got to hold a baby on Monday! haha It was fake but it felt real :)

We had another lesson with our sweet Karen. Every time we teach she tells us she is learning so much. We committed her to pray & ask if it was true and she said she was pretty sure she knew the answer but that she would to get a confirmation! What?! Who says that?

Zone training on Wednesday was all about positive thoughts and it has really helped a ton!

On exchanges this week in North Platte we got to shoot a bow and arrow after we planted a garden. Just call me Sister Everdeen :)

We found out that the Vera's were going to start going to the Spanish branch :( But then they changed their minds! YAY :)

Friday night poor Sister Call got sick while we were out contacting the last hour of the night. We were in front of goodwill talking to this gentleman and she all of the sudden say, "We've got to go, good night." We started walking away and all of the sudden she ralphs, everywhere! jk it was just behind a lightpost.....YIKES! The good news is I didn't puke after seeing it :)

Easter rocks! We contacted a lot of people while visiting some members in the Hospital! Then we got Sopaipillas at the Veras!

I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, who suffered and now lives for each of us! My new slogan of the mission is Forget yourself and remember Him!

I love you all :) I hope you always have thoughts of Christ!

Love always,

Sister Dumont

Wildest Week of my LIFE!

I'm not really sure what happened this week. A lot of trials. A lot of learning experiences. I really don't think I have ever been more emotionally drained than I have this week but that is the beauty of it all! There are a few things that I do know:

1. This assignment as STL is preparing me more for parenthood than anything else!
2. The gospel is simple and the way to happiness! (Faith, Repenting, Changing (baptism), Using the Holy Ghost, and Enjoying to the end)!
3. Sister Call rocks!

4. My Heavenly Father is so aware of me! He knows my concerns and is so willing to help me.

Lizz and Nery's baptism is postponed until further notice so stay tuned! We had an incredible Leadership Council on Friday and awesome interviews with President on Wednesday! He taught me how to be a more consecrated missionary. I signed up to leave all behind and follow Christ, so I have renewed that covenant with Heavenly Father!

I love you all so much! May we all renew our dedication to serve the Lord! We are not enduring if we are not sharing the gospel! Pray for missionary experiences and you will receive!
These are Completos

* Dad's notes from Wikipedia - The completo (Spanish for "complete", "total") is a hot dog variation eaten in Chile, which is usually served with ingredients such as choppedtomatoesavocadosmayonnaisesauerkraut, a variation of the sauce américaine, Chilean chili, green sauce and cheese. Its size can be twice of an American hot dog.[1]

Have a great week :)

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Raise your hand if you loved conference. If you're not raising your hand, maybe you should watch it :)

I've been in Kearney for a transfer! That blows my mind!
Well, Sister Call and I learned how to bear our testimonies in Spanish! #wannabehermanas
I am seriously telling president I am will to change to Spanish speaking at some point in the mission....we'll see. We bore our testimonies to Nery in Spanish and it really touched him. He said it was so beautiful. I think her was just being nice but oh well :)

We started volunteering at the Salvation Army and it is so fun! Plus we get to talk to a lot of new people. There are a lot of potentials there. We had a lesson with Lizz and she volunteered to say the closing prayer *miracle*

Transfers happened and we are staying together, thank goodness! We played soccer that night because one of the elders was being transferred. Nery brings his hispanic friends who are way good and then there's me....the only girl who plays. Confession session #ilovesoccer

Karen loved the plan of salvation. She says it brings her so much peace! Gaul she's so prepared!

I loved everything about conference but my favorite was probably........all of them :) I loved Gary E. Stevensons about the 4 minutes of our life! #we'veonlygot4minutes

It was S Call's birthday and we spoiled her!

Tell me your favorites please :)

I love you all so much!!!

 Photos next week!

The Church is True

I am so grateful to be a missionary!

I can hardly remember what happened this week because the time just flies by. We got to do exchanges in york this week. Sister Allen's grandma just passed away the night before we came. I know that the Lord prepared me and put me here at this time to help her. It is truly amazing how our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us.

I have come to love and appreciate the Book of Mormon so much more this week. There was a training given on the BOM and we were committed to Pray and ask if the BOM is true every day. That is my challenge to each of you! I promise that as you do, you will feel the confirming witness of the Holy Ghost in one way or another. It may not be immediate but it will come in HIS way.

I'm sorry again that this is so short! Good thing the Atonement is real huh?

I love you all so much :)
